What kind of accuracy can I expect?
Accuracy may be expressed as either component accuracy or system accuracy. Individual components such as transmitters generally have accuracy expressed as ± % FS (percent of full scale or full range of the device). In the case of our ES2 liquid level transmitter, the accuracy specified is ± 0.20% FS.

5 PSI range — 0.20% = within 0.01 psi or 0.27 in (6 mm) water depth
10 PSI range — 0.20% = within 0.02 psi or 0.55 in (14 mm) water depth
15 PSI range — 0.20% = within 0.03 psi or 0.83 in (21 mm) water depth
30 PSI range — 0.20% = within 0.06 psi or 1.66 in (42 mm) water depth
50 PSI range — 0.20% = within 0.10 psi or 2.76 in (70 mm) water depth
Generally speaking, KING-GAGE® systems that utilize pneumatic sensors (AcraSensor, TeleSensor,) or downpipe purge (LiquiSeal or Purge Control) have accuracy stated as ± 1/4 inch (± 6 mm) of liquid depth.
What range sensor do I need?
Rule of thumb uses the simple calculation based on maximum depth in inches. Multiply inches of depth by the specific gravity (where water is 1.00 sp. gr.) and divide by 27.68.
(inches of depth x specific gravity) divide by 27.68 = PSI
(meters of depth x specific gravity) divide by 0.703 = PSI
Can I shorten the cable on the sensor?
If possible, simply coil excess cable rather than trimming it. Previous Series 5700 KING-GAGE Electronic Sensors require positive venting through the cable assembly and must retain the watertight integrity to prevent damage to the internal electronics.
How do I adjust the span (or range) of the sensor?
How do I calibrate a KING-GAGE indicator?
Manometer type (fluid filled) gauges do not require calibration other than to check the level of indicating fluid with no pressure applied to the instrument. The procedure to replenish the fluid fill is outlined in KING instruction manual EX-1522-10.
KING-GAGE electronic and digital instruments require factory service in the event they are no longer within specifications. (These include LP2 digital tank indicators, LevelBAR tank level indicators.)
Can equipment be returned to the factory for repair/refurbishment?

We offer standard repair charges based on the type of component and can inform you of these charges in advance. What is the warranty?
New Products -- All King Engineering products are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.
Repair Services Warranty -- 90 days limited warranty.
How do I know when it is time to replace filter elements?
Cartridges that have reached the end of effective service life will exhibit a higher pressure drop (15-25 psi) across the filter unit. Color-change polisher cartridges (Ultra-C Model U202/U203) will turn red when liquid airborne contaminant has saturated the cartridge signaling replacement. Generally speaking, cartridges should be replaced on regular periodic intervals (6 months, yearly, etc.) based on service conditions.
Do you have replacement cartridges for other manufacturer's filter housings?
No. Our cartridges are manufactured specifically for KING Filters (including Ultra-C models).
Can KING Filters be used for fluid applications?
No. KING Filters are specifically designed for cleaning compressed air or compressed gases only.
